Aims:
Al-Athfal: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak aims to provide a forum for consideration of issues and for the exchange of information and ideas about research and practice in childhood education.
Scope:
Al-Athfal: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak features original research from around the world. With this as its principal focus, it should be emphasised that its definition of education embraces care and that its approach is multidisciplinary, embracing all related fields including psychology, sociology, child health and social work. Topics of interest are:
• childhood education innovation and technology
• Child relations with family and society
• Educational environment, curriculum, and assessment
• Child growth and development
• Child education across cultures
• Pre-service teacher preparation and in-service professional development
• childhood leadership and management
• Child education an Islamic perspective
• Health, safety, and nutrition
Articles
Open Submission Indexed Peer-Reviewed
At least two reviewers independently review every manuscript submitted to Al-Athfal: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak/Al-Athfal: Childhood Education Journal in the form of "double-blind review." The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. In some instances, the editor may submit an article for review to the third reviewer before deciding, if necessary.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
All article published in Al-Athfal: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak/Al-Athfal: Childhood Education Journal is Open Access. Open Access publishing implies that all readers, anywhere globally, are allowed unrestricted access to the article's full text immediately on publication in Al-Athfal journal. Furthermore, no payment is collected from the readers for accessing and using the articles.
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. It permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
