Focus and Scope

INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies accepts submission of manusciprts on disability issues from any discipline. We are promoting an interdisciplinary approach to work on disability rights and social inclusion of the people with disabilities.

Peer Review Process

Papers are blindly reviewed by experts and specialits in disability studies, social work, education, and other disciplines. When a paper past an initial review, it will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. The reviewrs used our review guidelines to judge your paper. We will let you know as soon as the reviews are done.

Publication Frequency

INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies is published twice a year. The first edition is published by June; and the second by December.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Anti Plagiarism Policy 

PLAGIARISM

INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies will not tolerate any kind of plagiarism. Authors should understand well the publication ethics regarding plagiarism. To make sure that your papers are plagiarism-free, we will do at least two following step:

  1. Rapid assesment by plagarism-cheking softwares 
  2. Comprehensive assement by editors. 

Publication Ethics

This is an ethics statement for INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies published by Pusat Layanan Disability (PLD) UIN Sunan Kalijaga. This statement is adapted from the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and includes a code of ethics for journal managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. Articles published in the INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies constitute an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge about disability and are a direct reflection of the quality of the authors and their institutions. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and the society. The editors of the INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies are committed to ensuring that all procedures are directed solely to facilitate objective and intellectually sound treatment. Furthermore, editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political or group interests.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

  1. Have the responsibility to ensure that only new and original work is submitted.
  2. Must not reproduce work that has been previously published in another journal.
  3. Must not submit any article that is under review or consideration by the journal to another journal simultaneously.
  4. Must only be allowed to publish their work elsewhere after receiving a formal rejection from the journal or if their request to withdraw their work is formally accepted by the journal.
  5. Must notify the Editor-in-Chief or publisher of any inaccuracies in their published work so that corrections or retraction of the article can be made.
  6. Must make significant contributions and take responsibility for any deficiencies in their work.

Duties and Responsibilities of Bestari Partners

  1. Must disclose any conflict of interest before agreeing to review a submission.
  2. May decline to review any submission, due to a conflict of interest or inadequate knowledge.
  3. Review all submissions objectively, fairly, and professionally.
  4. Disclose any ethical violations discovered during review to the Editor-in-Chief for further action.
  5. Must ensure the originality of the submission and be alert to any plagiarism and excessive publication.
  6. Must not discuss the content of the submission without permission.
  7. Adhere to the time allotted for the review process.
  8. Requests for extension of time to review a submission are at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Manager

  1. Determine the journal name, scope of science, periodicity, and accreditation application if necessary. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
  2. Define the relationship between publishers, editors, peer reviewers, and other parties in a contract.
  3. Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and peer reviewers.
  4. Apply norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  5. Conduct journal policy reviews and convey them to authors/writers, editorial boards, peer reviewers, and readers.
  6. Create guidelines for rules and ethical behavior for editors and peer reviewers.
  7. Publish journals regularly.
  8. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
  9. Build a network of collaboration between research institutions and related agencies
  10. Prepare permits and other legal aspects.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editors

  1. Actively contribute to the development and goodness of the journal.
  2. Act as an ambassador for the journal.
  3. Continue to support and promote the journal.
  4. Review the work assigned to them.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editor-In-Chief

  1. Evaluate manuscripts fairly and solely on their intellectual merit.
  2. Ensure confidentiality of manuscripts and not disclose any information related to manuscripts to anyone other than those involved in the publication process.
  3. Be responsible for deciding when and which articles should be published.
  4. Actively seek the views of board members, reviewers, and authors on how to improve/enhance the image and visibility of the journal.
  5. Provide clear instructions to potential contributors about the submission process and what is expected of authors.
  6. Ensure appropriate reviewers are selected/identified for the review process.

Ethical Compliance

  1. Research articles reporting animal or clinical studies should, where appropriate, contain a statement that they have been subject to approval by an animal or human ethics committee.

  2. All scientific studies should be conducted in accordance with relevant national and local guidelines.

  3. Each author warrants that his/her research institution has fully approved the protocols for all scientific studies involving animals or humans and that all experiments of any kind were conducted in accordance with ethical principles of research after approval by an ethics committee.

Retraction

Retractions are considered by journal editors in cases of evidence of unreliable data or findings, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and unethical research. We may consider an expression of concern notice if an article is under investigation.

A replacement version of the article will be posted containing just the metadata, with a retraction note replacing the original text. The PDF will be replaced with a version watermarked with “Retracted” but the original text will remain accessible.

Retraction notices are indexed

The commitments INKLUSI are when to retract published with an indication of manuscript plagiarism, double publication, and violations of the research code of ethics.

The Publish issues articles will be replaced with notification of the status of violations committed by the author. The PDF text will be replaced with text marked "Retracted".

The text of the extract will be indexed by the indexing system related to the INKLUSI journal.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

INKKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies will be charging authors and readers with fees on submission, publication, and maintenance of publication.

INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies charges authors in publishing and maintaining the publication of their works amounting to 1.750.000 (IDR) starting from Volume 11 No.1

Journal History

INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies, published by Center for Disability Services Science 2014. The Journal hard issues are for research reports with a focus on inclusive Education studies and the study of people with disability problems issues. In 2016, INKLUSI changed to an e-journal under licenses by the open journal study system (OJS). At the start of 2018, INKLUSI applied for accreditation under Sinta Kemenristek Dikti with an S3 nominated rank.
