Assalamu‘alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
In line with changes to the revenue source of Al-Mazaahib: Journal of Comparative Law, we hereby announce the implementation of an Article Processing Charge (APC) for all manuscripts accepted for publication, effective from October 17, 2025.
Previously, Al-Mazaahib operated under institutional financial support, allowing full open-access publication without author fees. However, since this institutional coverage has ended, the journal must adopt an APC policy to sustain its quality and operations.
The APC is intended to support the following aspects of journal management:
-
Maintenance and development of the journal website and theme,
-
OJS (Open Journal Systems) management and regular updates,
-
Editorial administration and publication services,
-
Support for peer-review and digital publishing processes.
-
Full APC (100%) applies to all submissions received after October 17, 2025.
-
50% APC discount applies to submissions received (August 13, 2025) but before October 17, 2025.
-
Free of charge (no APC) applies to submissions received before August 13, 2025
The exact APC amount and payment procedures will be announced on the official journal website in due course.
Withdrawal Policy Related to APCAuthors who submitted their manuscripts before August 13, 2025 are not subject to any publication fee (APC-free).
Authors who submitted their manuscripts between August 13 and October 17, 2025 are entitled to a 50% APC discount.
If authors disagree with the APC policy, they may withdraw their submission without penalty, provided the withdrawal request is made before the article is accepted for publication.
Once a manuscript has been formally accepted and scheduled for publication, withdrawal requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with COPE publication ethics guidelines.
We remain committed to maintaining Al-Mazaahib as an open-access, peer-reviewed journal of high academic and ethical standards.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
