ESENSIA: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Ushuluddin is a semiannual international journal devoting special attention to questions of Islamic theology (uṣūl ad-dīn). This topic illuminates the immense significance of Islam in the context of religious life, to which it has delivered unique perspectives, approaches, and a range of contributions of abiding interest. ESENSIA is also collaborating with the Indonesian Association of Quranic Studies (AIAT) and the Indonesian Association of Hadith Studies (ASILHA).
Launched on the digital platform in 2011, ESENSIA provides scholarly but accessible peer-reviewed research articles, aimed at national and international academic readership, with both respect to scientific approaches to the field and discoveries of new materials. The journal considers possible articles written in English and Arabic based on their originality, multidisciplinary interest, research novelty, accessibility, timeliness, elegance, and surprising conclusions. The opinions expressed in the articles do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Team or the Editorial Team or the Peer-Reviewers.
