
The Kalijaga Journal of Islamic Religious Education (K-JIRE) is an open-access scientific journal published by the Bachelor Programme in Islamic Religious Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Education, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. It serves as a platform for scholarly discussion and publishes original research articles, reviews, and short communications in the field of Islamic religious education and its teaching in schools and madrasahs. The journal focuses on various areas, including Islamic studies, Islamic education curriculum, learning media and strategies, educational psychology, philosophy of education, multicultural and inclusive education, character and moral education, educational technology, and the sociology of Islamic education.
K-JIRE applies rigorous academic standards with all submitted manuscripts undergoing a double-blind peer review process by members of its Editorial Advisory Board. The journal uses Mendeley and Zotero for citation management and employs Plagiarism Checker and Turnitin for originality screening. Authors should expect the evaluation process to take about three months, after which articles may be accepted or rejected. Published quarterly in January, April, July, and October, K-JIRE contributes to the advancement of knowledge and practices in Islamic religious education.
