Digital Archiving Policy
Contemporary Quran ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content through reliable digital archiving systems.
The journal provides electronic backup and preservation of access to its content via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This can be verified through the Publisher Manifest available within the PKP PN system.
The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) has developed the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to support the digital preservation of journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. This system ensures that journal content remains accessible and secure over time.
In addition, the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program offers decentralized and distributed preservation, enabling seamless perpetual access and safeguarding the authentic original version of the published content.
The PKP PN ensures that journals not participating in other preservation services (such as CLOCKSS or Portico) are still preserved for long-term access and sustainability.
Through this archiving system, Contemporary Quran guarantees that its scholarly content remains permanently accessible to the academic community.
For further information about the PKP Preservation Network, please refer to the official PKP documentation and high-level overview.
