Generative AI Policies

Gen-AI Policy Statement

As technology develops and AI becomes increasingly widespread in academia, Jurnal Living Hadis has responded in several ways. First, it permits the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI/Gen-AI), provided authors disclose its use transparently. Second, authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and ethical integrity of their manuscripts. Third, GenAI tools may not be listed as authors. This policy takes effect from Vol. 11, No. 2.

Permitted Use and Prohibited Use

Limited use of Gen-AI is permitted under human supervision for language editing, grammar checking, translation, and data visualization, provided it does not generate or manipulate research findings. The following uses are prohibited: generating scientific content, arguments, or literature reviews without disclosure; including fabricated or AI-generated references or citations; and using Gen-AI in peer review or editorial decision-making.

Disclosure Requirements

If GenAI was used, authors must include a “Generative AI Usage Statement” before the references, which is included in the new template.
