Jurnal Dakwah: Media Komunikasi dan Dakwah, published by the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, is available in both print (ISSN 1411-5905) and online (ISSN 2614-1418) formats. This international journal focuses on the publication of scholarly work in the fields of da'wah and communication. Its primary focus is on scientific studies of da'wah, communication methods, and da'wah practices in various contexts, both in Asia and globally.

The journal aims to support the exchange of ideas, theoretical development, and innovation in da'wah studies with an interdisciplinary, social, cultural, and religious approach. It accepts high-quality manuscripts in English, Indonesian, and Arabic, incorporating textual and contextual approaches from various academic traditions.

As an international scholarly forum, the journal follows a rigorous peer-review process to ensure that each manuscript meets high academic standards. It encourages contributions from diverse academic traditions and perspectives, both classical and contemporary, and facilitates global intellectual exchange among scholars from both Eastern and Western contexts. Thus, the journal plays a crucial role in promoting interdisciplinary research in da'wah and Islamic communication, broadening perspectives, and enriching knowledge in these fields.

The journal, published twice a year, focuses on theory and practice in da'wah and Islamic communication. It aims to showcase original research and discuss current issues. The journal invites contributions from academics in related fields, particularly those exploring the following common topics:

  • Theoretical frameworks and methodologies in da'wah and Islamic communication.
  • Innovative practices and case studies in da'wah and communication strategies.
  • Impact and effectiveness of various da'wah methods in different cultural and social contexts.
  • Role of technology and media in contemporary da'wah practices.
  • Interdisciplinary approaches to understanding and improving da'wah and communication.

Jurnal Dakwah: Media Komunikasi dan Dakwah does not charge authors and readers with any fee. All the process of submission, publication, and maintenance of publication are free of charge.

It is basically author’s duty to only submit a manuscript that is free from plagiarism and academically malpractices. The editor, however, will check each article before its publication against as much as possible databases.
