License Policy

The Journal of Business Management and Islamic Banking (JBMIB) publishes its articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), consistent with the journal's Copyright Notice. Copyright remains with the author(s) or their employer(s), where applicable, and the copyright holder(s) grant the journal a non-exclusive license for first publication.

Permissions for Reuse

Under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, readers and other users may share, copy, redistribute, adapt, translate, and build upon the licensed material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes, without requesting additional permission, provided that all applicable license conditions are met.

License Conditions

  • Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit to the author(s), acknowledge the original publication in JBMIB, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes were made. Attribution must not suggest that the author(s) or JBMIB endorse the user or the reuse.
  • Non-commercial use: Reuse must not be primarily intended for commercial advantage or monetary compensation. Uses outside the scope of the license require separate permission from the relevant copyright holder(s), unless otherwise permitted by law.
  • No additional restrictions: Users must not impose legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the permissions granted by the license.

Author Rights and Repository Distribution

Subject to applicable employer and third-party rights, authors may distribute or deposit the published version of their articles in institutional repositories, personal academic websites, and other appropriate non-commercial channels, provided that the original publication in JBMIB is acknowledged and a reference to the applicable CC BY-NC 4.0 license is included. Any separate distribution arrangements must remain consistent with the rights granted under the applicable license.

Third-Party Material and Additional Permissions

Material credited to third parties or explicitly identified as excluded from the article's Creative Commons license may be subject to separate copyright terms. Users are responsible for obtaining permission from the relevant rights holder(s) when their intended reuse is not otherwise authorized. Applicable copyright exceptions and limitations, as well as privacy, publicity, and moral rights, continue to apply.
