Authorship and Contributorship Policy
Authorship in Jurnal Studi Ilmu-ilmu al-Qur’an dan Hadis is given only to individuals who have made a real scholarly contribution to the manuscript. Authorship means both academic credit and responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the published work.
An author should contribute substantially to the research, such as developing the idea, designing the study, collecting or analyzing sources, conducting fieldwork or manuscript research, interpreting Qur’anic or hadith materials, preparing translations or transliterations, writing the manuscript, or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
All authors must read and approve the final version of the manuscript before submission. By submitting the manuscript, the authors confirm that all listed authors have agreed to the submission, all sources are properly acknowledged, and no eligible contributor has been excluded.
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal during submission, peer review, revision, production, and post-publication matters. The corresponding author must ensure that the author list, affiliations, funding information, conflict of interest statement, ethics statement, and any disclosure of generative AI use are accurate.
Contributors who helped the work but do not meet the authorship criteria may be mentioned in the acknowledgement section with their permission. This may include assistance with proofreading, language editing, technical support, transcription, administrative support, archive access, field access, or general supervision.
Jurnal Studi Ilmu-ilmu al-Qur’an dan Hadis does not allow honorary authorship, gift authorship, guest authorship, coercive authorship, or ghost authorship. Any form of authorship manipulation may lead to editorial inquiry, rejection, correction, or other appropriate action.
The order of authors should be agreed upon by all authors before submission. Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be sent in writing to the editorial office and must include the agreement of all authors involved. Authorship changes after acceptance will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
For multi-author manuscripts, the journal may request a short author contribution statement explaining each author’s role in the work.
Artificial intelligence tools, chatbots, or other automated systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. If generative AI or AI-assisted tools are used in a substantive way, authors must disclose their use according to the journal’s Generative AI Policy.
