Jurnal Pendidikan Islam (JPI) is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes and promotes research which contributes to our understanding of Islamic education within the horizon of Religious Studies (RS), and welcomes submissions from all regions. It highlights the relationships among texts, institutions, practices, and societies across formal, non-formal, and informal settings (madrasah, pesantren, schools/universities, family/communities).

JPI aims to advance RS-grounded scholarship through robust theorization and auditable methods (qualitative, quantitative, mixed; secondary/literature-based research). Submissions must be non-devotional, employ RS vocabulary, offer conceptual or methodological contributions, and demonstrate transferability and cross-context relevance to serve an international readership. Topics may include: institutions and practice of Islamic education; curriculum and pedagogy; policy and governance; digital practices and educational technology; moderation, coexistence, and religious literacy; intellectual history and discourse; philosophy of Islamic education; eco-theology (environmental ethics and Islamic-environmental education); and assessment and evaluation.
