Archiving Policy
Purpose. Jurnal Pendidikan Islam (JPI) ensures the long-term preservation, discoverability, and access of all published content.
Primary preservation. JPI participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) (LOCKSS-based) for long-term, decentralized preservation of the journal’s content.
Redundancy & backups. In addition to external preservation, JPI maintains regular system backups of the journal platform and files.
Metadata & discovery.
-
Each article receives a DOI with Crossref metadata deposits (including updates for corrections/retractions).
-
Article metadata is harvestable via OAI-PMH to support indexing and library discovery systems.
Self-archiving (author copies). In line with our Open Access policy, authors may deposit the preprint, accepted manuscript (AAM), and the version of record (VoR) in institutional/subject repositories and personal websites upon publication, with citation/DOI and CC BY-NC 4.0 indicated. This author-side redundancy complements formal preservation.
If the journal ceases publishing. All published content will remain accessible via the preservation network and the journal’s archival site; DOIs will continue to resolve to archived copies.
Versioning of record. Corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern follow COPE guidance; persistent links are maintained so readers can trace the publication history.
