Publishing rights (non-exclusive). By accepting publication, authors grant JPI the non-exclusive right to publish, disseminate, preserve, and identify itself as the first publisher (including deposit in indexing/archiving services).

License. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license permits non-commercial use, sharing, adaptation (including translation), and reproduction in any medium, provided users give appropriate credit to the authors and the journal, link to the license, and indicate changes.
“NonCommercial” means not primarily intended for or directed towards commercial advantage or monetary compensation. Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

Commercial use. Any reuse primarily intended for commercial advantage or monetary compensation requires prior written permission from the authors and JPI (contact the Editor-in-Chief).

Author reuse. Authors may post/share the preprint, accepted manuscript (AAM), and version of record (VoR) in repositories and personal sites immediately upon publication, provided the published citation/DOI and CC BY-NC 4.0 are included. Authors may reuse parts or the whole article in theses, future works, or teaching with proper citation and license compliance.

Third-party material. Unless indicated by a credit line, third-party content included in an article is covered by the article’s CC BY-NC 4.0 license. Content not covered requires permission from the rights holder for any reuse beyond statutory exceptions.

Data, code, and supplements. Unless stated otherwise, supplements follow the same license as the article. Authors may choose a more permissive license for data/code (e.g., CC BY/CC0 for data; MIT/BSD for code) and must clearly indicate this in the file legend or header.
