Aim and Scope

AIM

Jurnal Sosiologi Reflektif (JSR) is an academic journal dedicated to advancing sociological scholarship on religion and society, with particular emphasis on Muslim societies and their interactions with broader social, cultural, political, and institutional transformations. JSR publishes original empirical research that critically examines the relationship between religion, social structures, institutions, power relations, collective identities, and social change. The journal welcomes qualitative, quantitative, comparative, and mixed-methods research that contributes to theoretical and empirical debates in sociology, particularly the sociology of religion.

JSR welcomes critical and systematic literature reviews that synthesize existing research, identify theoretical or empirical gaps, and advance sociological debates, particularly at the intersection of sociology and Islamic Studies.
