Digital Archiving Policy
Jurnal Sosiologi Reflektif (JSR) is committed to maintaining the long-term availability, accessibility, and preservation of its published articles as part of its responsibility to safeguard the scholarly record.
JSR's digital archiving policy is informed by the relevant principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), particularly those addressing the preservation of scholarly publications and continued access to published research.
1. Digital Archiving
JSR maintains digital archives of all published articles, including their final published versions (Versions of Record), associated metadata, and relevant bibliographic information.
In addition to preserving content on its official publishing platform, JSR utilizes the Internet Archive as one of its digital preservation and archiving services to support the continued accessibility of published materials.
The archived publications can be accessed through the official JSR Internet Archive collection.
2. Long-Term Preservation
JSR is dedicated to ensuring that its published content remains accessible over time. Digital archiving serves to protect the continuity and availability of the scholarly record, including in circumstances involving changes to the journal's publishing systems, technological infrastructure, or operational arrangements.
3. Access to Archived Content
Articles that have been published and archived remain available through the official JSR website and, where applicable, through the digital preservation services employed by the journal, including the Internet Archive.
The archiving process does not affect an article's publication status or modify its official published version.
4. Post-Publication Changes
When a published article requires a correction, retraction, Expression of Concern, or another post-publication measure, JSR will retain the scholarly publication record and issue appropriate notices without unjustifiably removing published materials.
These measures are implemented to uphold transparency and protect the integrity of the scholarly record, consistent with the relevant publication ethics principles of COPE.
5. JSR Policy Statement on Digital Archiving
JSR is committed to the digital preservation of all published articles to support long-term accessibility, continuity, and integrity of the scholarly record.
JSR employs the Internet Archive as one of its digital archiving and preservation services and takes into account relevant COPE guidelines and principles in maintaining access to its published scholarly content.
