About the Journal

Jurnal Pendidikan Islam (Journal of Islamic Education) – JPI, p-ISSN: 2301-9166; e-ISSN: 2356-3877 is an international journal published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Education State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, posted twice a year on June and December. The journal focuses its scope on the issues of Islamic Education in Southeast Asia. We invite scientists, scholars, researchers, as well as professionals in the field of Islamic Education in Southeast Asia to publish their researches in our Journal. The journal publishes high quality empirical and theoretical research covering all aspects of Islamic Education in Southeast Asia.

The Journal was established in January 2012
In 2013, Journal of Islamic Education (JPI) available online at www.jurnaljpi.com and use platform and workflow by PKP/OJS 2
In 2014, Journal of Islamic Education (JPI) available online at http://ejournal.uin-suka.ac.id/tarbiyah/index.php/JPI/index
In 2015, Journal of Islamic Education (JPI) become a CrossRef member and have a unique DOI number  and indexed in DOAJ, Sinta 2, Moraref, Google Scholar, Academia.edu, Researchgate, at all
In 2015, Journal of Islamic Education (JPI) is accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education with Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia No. I/E/KPT/2015, dated 21 September 2015.
In 2016, Journal of Islamic Education (JPI) use platform and workflow by PKP/OJS 3
In 2019, The aims and scope of the journal changed into "Islamic Education In Southeast Asia"
In 2020, Journal of Islamic Education (JPI) reaccredited SINTA 2 by MENTERI RISET DAN TEKNOLOGI/KEPALA BADAN RISET DAN INOVASI NASIONAL REPUBLIK INDONESIA NOMOR 200/M/KPT/2020
Since 2022, Number of articles per issues: Six (6) articles, for ensuring publishes high quality empirical and theoretical
Starting from Volume 11 Number 1 June 2022, Jurnal Pendidikan Islam makes a change manuscript template in order to fulfill COPE standard manuscript and ensure high-quality manuscripts.
